A turning point. Standing on the threshold between the mundane, physical world and the creative, imaginative realm.
The Wheel recognises you’ve reached some success, perhaps even expertise, but to reach mastery this extends beyond the grounded context of your every day. This is taking your creative process to another realm.
The Wheel is cyclic, turning through the up’s and down’s. For example, the scholar pushes his momentum through the tedium of study – to step into the metaphorical place of wisdom and epiphanies.
The Wheel is not the epiphany itself, but the transition towards it.
Reflect on times when you’ve pushed through particularly tedious or strenuous tasks.
What aided your tenacity and focus? (examples might be: a quiet space; background noise; early mornings; cold weather; time pressure; ticking off a to do list; reaffirming your purpose and aim, etc. )
Where in your creative process are you comfortable? How could you push further and take this comfort zone to a new level of skill or significance?
